Volatile organic compounds

When using damping solutions and detergents, vapours of hydrocarbons are released into the work place and in the environment. These vapours are also called volatile organic compounds (VOC). Replacing and or reducing the release of VOC will decrease the harmful effects on health and the environment. VOC is found in the printing industry most commonly in cleaning agents and rubbing alcohol.

We have implemented an ambitious VOS reduction plan to reduce and eventually eliminate VOCs from our production processes. We already produce with less VOC’s than the maximum level as is regulated in an agreement between government and the branch association of the printing industry.
